This 1922 cottage-style home in East Grand Rapids received a full exterior restoration from the DuraPro team. The homeowners wanted to bring out the character of their cedar-shingle siding, so we coated the body in Sherwin-Williams Turkish Coffee — a rich, deep brown — and paired it with crisp Extra White trim for a clean, timeless contrast. The front sunroom ceiling was finished in soft Atmospheric blue for a classic porch-ceiling touch.
Our scope on this East Grand Rapids exterior project covered:
- Body siding and cedar shakes
- Sunroom lower stucco walls
- All soffits and fascia
- Window and door trim
- Two front-porch French doors
- Gutters and downspouts
- Upper back deck railings
- Front sunroom ceiling
This was as much a restoration as a repaint. Before any color went on, our carpentry crew put in extensive work on the century-old exterior — replacing damaged cedar shingles and repairing rotted wood so the siding was sound and ready to hold a lasting finish. Every surface was then hand-scraped, spot-primed, and caulked as part of our standard prep, and finished with two coats of premium Sherwin-Williams Duration Exterior paint. As with every DuraPro project, the work is backed by our full prep process, a licensed and insured crew, and a 3-year warranty.
